Some images from Christmas Fairs over the last week …
I do love Christmas and all the festivities surrounding it but having started christmas planning in the summer it does feel a little different these days than when I worked at the BBC. Christmas orders started coming in (slowly but surely) from September and have been speeding up and increasing ever since. We are laser cutting, packing, printing, selling, christmas market attending, wrapping, packing and posting as fast as we possibly can …. busy times and business will continue until our last posting date before Christmas … and in my case, until 22nd December, when the Designer/Makers fair ends at the Southbank. Then, only then, I think I’ll be able to stop, take a deep breath and start to get into my non-Scamp festive spirit just in time for the 25th.
this is what 1000 metres of Scamp branded ribbon looks like! picked up today and about to be used to create some of our brand new gift sets
new is exciting in the Scamp Studios … having discovered the wonders of the laser cutter last year we are always thinking about ideas that will work for us using this technique. We think these letters could be something good indeed. Something lovely and personalised for any stylish little ones rooms … what do you think?
it’s all about mocking up the stand in the lead up to our first ever trade show (Pulse). Maybe see you there on 12-14 May at Earls Court (we’re stand CG25)
not just any old elastic bands I’ll have you know – these are super special ones that are headed for our brand new packaged up gift sets and I am rather excited about that
I always try to mock up any photos I’m taking using my Instagram app – it shoots in a square which is ideal for the majority of web images we need and therefore gives a really good impression of how a final image will look. Often you think something will work really well but it needs adapted post the Instagram shot. In this case, I was really happy with my initial set up … Personalised Easter decorations anyone?
