Some images from Christmas Fairs over the last week …
I do love Christmas and all the festivities surrounding it but having started christmas planning in the summer it does feel a little different these days than when I worked at the BBC. Christmas orders started coming in (slowly but surely) from September and have been speeding up and increasing ever since. We are laser cutting, packing, printing, selling, christmas market attending, wrapping, packing and posting as fast as we possibly can …. busy times and business will continue until our last posting date before Christmas … and in my case, until 22nd December, when the Designer/Makers fair ends at the Southbank. Then, only then, I think I’ll be able to stop, take a deep breath and start to get into my non-Scamp festive spirit just in time for the 25th.

Glasgow Architecture – You’re Beautiful
I have a book that I love called London, You’re Beautiful – illustrations of a London I know very well as the artist lives in mu old neighbourhood of Camden His drawings have captured the essence of the city I live in and Camden in particular.
I am not trying to say that the few pictures I have put on this blog post will stand up in any way to those illustrations, merely that I love the title of the book and I have unashamedly stolen it for the name of this post!
We spent a glorious half term week in my home town in the south west of Scotland for the majority of the time followed by a couple of Glasgow days at the end. My photos are a mere snapshot of what we did (and what I love about visiting home) but I hope you enjoy them and that it might make you want to cross the border into my homeland one day … if you haven’t aren’t there or haven’t visited it already!
those magnificent men in their flying machines … a day dedicated to all things flying at the Abingdon Airshow. There’s only so much loop the looping of aeroplanes that holds my interest (however skilful) but ladies atop these little beauties doing acrobatics … that’s another matter. Impressed!
on our way to Tunbridge Well … technology never far away on any trip
and there you go … a whole month has passed in a blur and I have not put a single picture up on the blog. A haze of holidaying, 5 year old birthday and Trade Show preparation has taken over the month of April and a bit of May too. So, April 2013 is a little montage of very happy times spent in Thailand during the Easter Holidays with a dollop of sorries that I haven’t managed to get more pictures up more regularly.
as one of three sisters we were always known by our parents and others as ‘the girls’. there may only be two sisters in my youngest siblings clan but there is no getting out of it – that is what they are forever going to be known as too
